Hi I need to find which camshaft is the exaust and which is the inlet as they got mixed up on the bench, one has larger lobes than the other can any body help !!! charles1

Hi Update on camshafts the larger lobes go to the inlet valves found in Haynes Thanks anyway

Hi Yes I was getting worried as it seems that onbody knew that there was a differance beween the two cams.but the Haynes came to the rescue I had to resort to bying one.

to be honest i dont expect that many of us on here have had to delve into that part of the engine YET , unless your a vauxhall mechanic.. or general mechanic..but now we shall be asking you what you did and why you did it..write a posting in zafira chat will be interesting to read..

Hi I had the water pump disintegrate and shed the belt I didn't have enough cash to put into a garage so I pulled it apart myself. I put some new valves in and because I didn't mark up the camshafts I found that they were different, that is why the panic but as i said the Haynes came to the rescue. charles1
