Hi they are wicked fast and handle good and just do the usual check = turbo smoke, rattles, service history private or vauxhall, brakes as in warp disc and judder especially at speed, but they do go and the suspension is normally hard ride so dont be shocked, etc.. loads special bits if you search online but ennjoy and try also join one of the other clubs too like the sri owners club.. | |

| the 120cdti can be mapped to 150 easily if thats your thing? some early 120's were 16v lumps that were de-tuned cos vauxhall couldnt keep up with the demand for the 8v unit. worth a look to see which engine it has. i have been tempted by the 2.0t car myself, if i got rid of my mk3 astra and just ran the 1 car but i cant bring myself to get shot of her!! (sentimental value) | |

| shes a little 1994 1.4 merit auto hi-torque 3dr. slowly turnin it into a rat rod. i inherited it from my step father when he passed away last year from the big C. only done 94k miles and is too good to scrap, but does need a little work being as its 16 years old. (there may be a 2.0 8v, or v6 conversion tho!!) lol. | |

| How hard is it to tell if you have a 8valve cdti? i know what the 16v's look like as we had a 150 astra.. its looking good that we are getting a 06 plate 120 design! I am hoping its a 16v detuned.. fingers crossed.. also did they faclift them and if so when? thanks si | |

| the only way to tell i believe is to remove the plastic cover from the top of the engine. then you should see if you have 1 or 2 cam shaft pulleys. even if it is an 8v you can still map them with good results. on an 06 plate it could be either/or. got my fingers crossed for you dude. | |

| thanks man.. i hope so too. can i get it mapped back to 150 buy vaux? as they did detune them in the first place? or can i get it done else were? we had a regal ipf unit on our astra which put it up to 200bhp. but cant quite afford another box! cheers guys.. | |

| tbh, i dont know if vauxhall would be prepareed to do it. no harm in asking tho i spose. any other reputable tuning firm would be able to do it tho, even on the 8v unit you should be able to see 150-160 at a push. | |

| wish my sri had the half leather!! my mother in law has a Merive design, its unbelievably high spec'd. my kids like the twin sun roof and seperate ear phones in the back!! think of your svings on fuel and tax though mate!! if my annual mileage was higher i would def have a diesel, but i only do about 5k a year, and that includes an annual pilgrimage down to the west country!! what colour is the design? | |

| I know mate..we were looking at sri's before hand. then we had a look in the design. and in my opinion the design is loads better spec'd.. although the sri has the body kit etc. yeah well thats what we are thinking bud. plus having two dogs and a little daughter it makes sence for space wise. and we like to go away when we can. and a nice little bonus it has a tow bar. I would say its a champange colour bud.err but yet silver lol. I will post up pics when we do get it. cheers | |
