 GSI with oil leak

hi guys hope all is good with you just a quick 1 my gsi bus has a oil leak from the front of the engine iv done the sump gasket but still leaks have ant of u tried redex oil stop leak
is this adviserble for a turbo ebgine any advice would b good its in for cam belt 16th aug £260 so will get them to have a look aswell

i wouldnt risk it ,to be honest..just in case.. stick with the leak till you have the cambelt done..and see if you can find it then,, it not from the oil feed/return to the turbo is it by anychance..

not sure were its from i think ill wait till they can look at it
what is the oil feed/return to the turbo ??? is that the pipe that fits on the top of the turbo ???

if its from the front then its as sterl says 99%. there realy common to leak from the oil return pipe and drip onto the lip at the front of the engine then drip down. easy enough to fix.

cool thanks is that the pipe that comes off the top of the turbo ????
if so do u no were it goes as mite get 1 anyway as brother works for vauxhall

no its the small pipe that comes off the bottom of the turbo to the block. the older ones are solid thats why they either crack or break there seal because theres no give but the new ones have a flex part to stop it doing it again

Try the oil filter housing gasket: I had the same problem, cured easily...

hi there will the oil filter housing make it leak from the front under the turbo iv got the oil feed/return pipe so ill try that 1st but if still there then ill try that thanks for ur help

If the oil filter isnt put on straight (crossthreaded) then oil could leak out off it.. also if it isnt tight enough the same could happen..check it and see..

Hi all as i was saying had my cambelt & turbo return pipe done yesterday & finaly found my oil leak its coming from the oil level switch just under the turbo on the block i think he said Question has any 1 done this job b4 & how hard is Question Question any help please Very Happy

if its the same as a vectra you have to take the sump of to get to it as it fasten in from the inside

Well oil leak all sorted i hope new oil level switch o-ring & another new sump gasket easy to to if got a ramp cheers cheers now just to sort the turbo out booked in for a check tomorrow then hope under warrenty they will replace it Sad
