Sounds awful similar to what happened to me after only have the car 2 weeks turbo went took out a warranty took three months to get the car back between the dealer i bought it from the finace company and trading standards. But if you have only had the car three months you can get where u bought it from to pay as any defect in the first 6 months can fall to liability of the garage for selling good unworthy or not satisfactory
Contact your local trading standards office.
Dealer ended up paying for mine in the end!!!!

I had an RAC warranty on a mazda 6 i used to own and i agree they can be an absolute waste of time. The crank shaft snapped on it but RAC said it was my fault because i drove the car with a faulty flywheel. (nothing to do with it being a common fault). I eventually got them to pay out the maximum £1000 towards the £1600 bill but it took a lot of time phone calls, independent engineer reports, and a letter from me threatening court action.
I found out afterwards from the garage i bought the car from that the main reason the RAC didn't want to pay out was because he hadn't sold enough warranties to cover it.
So my suggestion is that you keep pestering them until they do pay up. As long as it wasn't bought with the fault and they can't prove neglect then they should pay up.
