| what causes brakes to squeek ive changed the front and they are doing my head in squeeking | |

| did you smear copper grease over the rear of the pads where the pistons and the callpier touches them..when you fitted them ? | |

| just double check that all the bolts are tight. and were the leading edges of the pads chamfered ... also some pads and shoes are made of a slightly harder material than others and this causes problems...what make were your pads? | |

| copper grease them up again it will dissapear | |

| Mine does the same. I've now got a tin of spray on copper grease from halfords. Whenever they start squealing i just spray as much of the pad as i can see and it usually does the trick for a while. Saves taking the pads off every time. | |

| It's a common fault I think, I'm sure I read about it on Autodata, I've got it installed on my OPCOM laptop. Next time I switch it on i'll have a look and see what it says and how to cure it. | |

| Right, just looked. The rear brakes are mentioned and it says the cause is Rubber coated caliper sliding pins which need to be replaced with plain ones. | |
