| i have a 2006 zafira life, just upgraded the steering wheel to one with buttons and also put on towbar. i have the rear electric console in the boot and the towbar electrics just plug in there. but i now understand to get the steering wheel butttons and the towbar electrics to work i have to get them enabled by using vauxhall tech 2 service. i have enquired how much this will be an vauxhall in aberdeen say it will take 2 hours to do and cost around £120 + vat. does anyone know if i can get this done elswhere cheaper. seems like a vauxhall con to me just to screw owners out of more cash!!! | |

| can't see why the towbar electrics would need done, i believe that the steering wheel buttons are programmed to the stereo they were fitted to, so they may need done, not sure about towbar. Alot of smaller garages are able to do tech 2 etc, may be worth giving them a ring around. i've just got a 2006 life as well, how are you finding it? | |

| i'd echo whats said above , steering wheel controls might have to be tech2'd but can't see the towbar electrics needing it, imho....... | |

i've just got a 2006 life as well, how are you finding it? finding it fine so far a lot better than the scenic we used to have. the only niggle i have is the engine whistles at around 2800rpm. someone mentioned throttle body. | |
