| im thinking of taking of the centre box and replace it with a straight pipe or a unresonated centre box(if theres one). im thinking it would give extra bhp and make the exhaust sound better. is this a good or bad idea? has anybody here done it or know someone who done it? and last question is will it affect the emmision? | |

| it will make it louder mate . not sure on mot etc as cat sorts emmisions out so i thought it would be if its to loud db wise to pass . and would you lose to much back pressure to gain bhp. | |

| im confused, how many cat does the zafy have? as far as i know from the manifold there is a big round catalytic converter then after that the centre silencer box and then the rear box. ive also look under the car during the rear box fitting and those are the only components i can see on the whole system. does the centre box also act as a catalytic converter too?
and about the back pressure, ive read about it in some forum but i cant remember where. the guy who was a mechanic said back pressure only applies on two stroke engines such as motor cycles but it doesnt really apply on car engines and motor cycles with similar engine layout. | |

| With regards to back pressure, turbo cars go better without back pressure but N/A engines need back pressure. I don't know the in's and out's of it but any decent tuner should be able to explain more. | |
