| yes i have one and yes you can do alot with them..apart from reseting codes ...im still learning ,but a guy i know on another car site i belong too in the south west has one and has done many things to astras , zafs and vectras..1.39 is the latest version.. but you can update the firmware too.. word of warning...make sure that your laptop has a good battery ,as you dont want it turning off while your doing any sort of altering..(if the unit is only reading this wont be a problem.). i bought a new key for sons astra and im going to program it to the car(waiting for a car pass from vauxhall as there wasnt one in his car) before i can do it) And you will need your vehicle car pass as it contains the security number for your car..you will have to enter this to alter anything .. with this item you can also alter things on the ECU.but that is dangerous unlesss you know what your doing.. | |

You can alter the mileage? I didn't realise you could do that, will come in handy when I replace the engine. | |

| you can alter the actual milometer reading...but i only altered the service interval ,,, (when the INSP shows up on your dash clocks) but you need the Car Pass for your car as you have to enter the security code for your car, before being able to alter it.. | |

| You should have the car pass with your car , a credit sized bit of paper containing Car security code, key number ,Radio code ect if not you can get it from vauxhall , cost about £20.. you need to take your reg document and a bill with name and address on it as proof you own the vehicle...and they will get it for you from the main vauxhall computer storage bank..might take a couple of days.. | |
