hi i tinkered around with the exhaust this weekend put it back on now i have a little blow at the front i need to sort but also the engine management light is on any thoughts

That light can come on due to a number of things and like it has been previously said, is probably linked to emissions. I expect the repair to the exhaust and then possibly a fault code re-set will cure your problem.
