| change air filter and exhaust mate that will help it better throttle response and bit more power put a cone filter on it if not derestrict the air box and put k&n panel filter in it | |

| I think they are all sluggish probably mate with the 1.6 16v lump. Its not a lot of engine to move the weight of the bus around. I find mine is sluggish but then Ive always owned performance cars before. I think the 1.6's are ideal for all show and no go lol | |

| sorry to bring this topic up again, but my 1.6 zaf is also quite sluggish, about what heritage74 said, how can i de restrict the airbox as i didnt know this could be done, also if i did it i would put a k&n panel in. And on my zaf i have a new standard cat-back exhaust fitted about 6 months ago, hasnt really helped lol. | |

| hi yes you can derestrict the air box take off the plastic air pipe from the front [will need prising out] also take the plastic pipe out inside the airbox in the bottom then add a k&n air filter this will help it out quite abit you could also get a bigger air intake pipe under slam panel then run a flexy hose to the air box that way cool air goes straight to the filter with the exhaust try getting a performance exhaust and decatting it ive got a large cone filter on mine and a standard vxr exhaust and trust me goes so much better | |

| o right, so would a vxr exhaust fit a 1600 zaf? is that the whole exhaust or just the cat back. Also whats the 'slam panel' on the air box. | |

| the slam panel is the front where the bonnet goes down under it you will see a black air pipe to the air box you can get bigger ones i must have a different 1.6 to you lot because mine is like alittle rocket but i must say i am upgrading soon to a 2.0 let engine | |
