| how many of you have had punctures in your cars and if so how often ?
you see ive spent lots of time weight saving from cars in the past and to me the spare wheel, cradle and tools are just dead weight, infact they are the dead weight equivalent of approximately 3 bhp ....and i havent had a puncture for maybe 4 years, so considering 99% of my mileage covered is local i think i might remove it all !!! weight saved doesn't just improve straight line performance like the equivalent extra bhp would, it also means the brakes have to work less and handling improves, never mind economy if your a bit of an eco watcher type, win win all round.....unless you get a puncture, lmao.

| ha ha ha , well i know what the outcome will be already....a gain thats small enough to be undetectable to the driver but significant enough to knock 4 tenths of a second off your 0-100 mph time. sounds daft but a car covers some fair few metres in 4 tenths of a second at 100 mph and that would be the on the road gain you would get. | |

| Hey i worked in a tyre garage for 13 years & u wont believe what iv pulled out of tyres u never no whats in the roads these days & is that 3bhp worth the price of a new tyre unless u invest in some run flat tyre & if i remember right if you use gunk/tyre weld you have to replace the tyre even tho i ant got a spare wheel never came with 1 | |
