1.8 16V ECU remap question

how much does a remap cost and where can i go to get it done? i want to squeze a little bit more power from my engine, i already have cold air induction and a straight flow rear box. i know that more power equals more fuel but will remaping affect a great deal of petrol consumption? thanks guys

I've been looking into remaps and it seems prices vary from £150 - £300. The fuel consumption depends on what exactly you are after, but some sites claim better performance and better MPG (not sure how realistic it is though).

i had my astra 1.8 (z18xe) remapped bu regal with eds software made alot of difference

people say stay clear of regal and people say there well happy

i looked around for ages and ages

and found regal helpfull

the map worked really well and difference i had than you guys was cams from lmfvauxhall

i had the four branch mani cat from lexmaul as well

the car standard made 125bhp

and after all the work it made 147bhp pretty good figure

i know of others have got what you have and made almost 140bhp
