Boot door stuck even with new switch

Hey all,

I know there have been other posts in other forums about boot doors getting stuck and
microswitches failing but I haven't come across my problem in the other
threads.

Basically I checked the fuse and it was ok (washers working also) so I
got a new microswitch (with the number plate bulbs attached), fitted it
and the boot still won't open . I've disconnected the battery and
reconnected it hoping this would reset something but no luck. Has
anybody come across this problem after fitting new boot release micro
switch? It's doing my head in .
Is there a way of resetting the central locking system in Zaffy B?
I'm thinking at this stage it could be a damaged cable somewhere.
Please help if you can.

I wonder if its like the electric windows where If you hold the switch in the switches will be set for one touch closure.

Have you tried holding the switch in to see if it resets anything?

Nixoro, thx for the suggestion, I've tried all that but no good.
I have tested with multi meter and am only getting .15 volts on the circuit so it seems a damaged cable. Can anyone tell me if there is a week point that I might look at first?
I think this is going to be a nightmare job
