PostSubject: re:- wheel balance   re:- wheel balance Icon_minitimeTue Aug 31, 2010 4:26 pm

hi all,
thought i'd just update you all on my previous thread on wheel balance date 05/08/2010, (they have had my wheels for 3 months now)
been to see C A B twice explained the situation to them and was told after the first visit to them to write a letter to motorsave (gainsborough) saying as it has taken so long that i would want my money back in 10 days, and any contact with me must be in writing, anyway after 11 days i had a phone call from their area manager that had come to gainsborough wanting me to ring him ( i told them contact with me must be in writing so i have it for evidence ) i did not ring back as i was away and didn't get the message till 7 pm he would have gone home then,
i have heard nothing since, so been back to C A B and was told to make an appointment to see trading standards at lincoln on MONDAY 30 AUGUST AT 10-30 (bank holiday ) i was out when appointment was emailed to me and to late to contact them to check date was right, so went to lincoln yesterday sat there for an hour like a twat to be told by a council office worker, ho they dont work on bank holidays but you could have bet your life if i hadn't gone the twats would have been working, anyway went over again to-day saw a bird thick as shite and after an hour she dicided to tell me to go to lincoln county court and get a small claims form pack, but said i must give them one more chance to answer my next letter that i have posted to-day saying i wanted my money back as the wheels are no good to me now as iv'e had to buy new tires for my steel wheels as they have had the alloys that long, plus the rest of the things thats wrong with the wheels and tires,
so it looks like iv'e got to wait another 10 f**king days before i can send these claim form papers into court, but i'll keep you all informed what goe's on,

oH BEWARE THE BAST**DS AT MOTORSAVE.

hi supersterl,
yes its getting to be a pain in the arse now, i wish i'd not set eyes on the bloody wheels now,
a letter came by hand yesterday saying they want my car in to check it over, noway are them clowns getting their hands on my car, if they want it check for mechanical faults they can pay to have it examined by our local vaux agent that way i know they cannot fix the report.

rick i'm with you on that one dont let those clowns touch your motor, as you said if they want it checked make them pay for an independant inspection.
Good Luck with it all

it's getting booked in to-morrow and they have agreed to pay after a bit of toing and froing it's going into vaux at gainsborough as they serviced it in may and i told them specifically to check all suspension and steering and anything else that could cause problems with wheels,
but the manager did say in may that not all alloy's suit all cars even if they did balance up ok,

dont know what he meant i'd have thought if they balance doe's it matter, but this chap used to race cars so he must know a bit about alloy's and tires,
will keep you all informed.
