Subject: funny noise on zafira Sun Apr 25, 2010 10:51 am
so a new noise has turned up thought it was the alternator but no that would have been to easy.Sounds like a dry bearing but can not find it.Had the cam belt done but not the kit could this be the noise. any help would be great

if it was done at a garage they should have checked the kit for wear and advised you if it needed doing. had to have mine done and the water pump as the bearings had gone in that aswell. but as topladz said where is the noise comeing from rough area.

had a little look and think it maybe the water pump will pick one up and change it a the weekend

its usually advised by most vauxhall forums to change water pump at same time as cambelt

hi ,might be the tensoiners on the cam belt ,if you didnt change them ,normally give a slight rattle noise more noticable on hard load ,had it on mine
