done handbrake cabel

done my handbrake cable but its still the bloody same the drivers caliper hand brake bracket is about 10mm from the stop but the passenger side is on its stop so its got to be the caliper its not racheting itself up am i right in thinking that. Getting a tool to push the piston back tomorrow what gets me the foot brake works great so i dont think its siezed up as i can see and feel the caliper move when the brakes are applied

Adam does the lever that the end of the cable fit into at the caliper end, move when you pull on the cable near back wheel , and stop the wheel from moving..??
in other words pull on the handbrake in the cabin.. so wheels should not turn at all..try the wheel that turns ,if it turns pull on the cable just in front of the caliper lever (where the cable fits wheel end) and see if it stops the wheel turning...if it doesnt them the lever mechanism may be seized..

that lever moves mate goes down to the stop but the wheel still moves

then try and rewind pistons on both sides and (remember to slacken off the cable in the cabin first) and then try re adjust the cable..if this dont solve the problem then maybe the lever has broken off in the caliper..
NOTE.. remember to turn piston clockwise while pushing it back in....

im getting the proper tool tomrrow so ill have tomorrow night bud hopefully that will solve it

keep us informed hope that it sorts it too...i bought the caliper rewind tool from halfords about a month ago..got to be worth it...
