Speedo not working

speedo needle started to have funny 5 mins for about a week then total packed up. rev counterv and fuel dial are fine. what needs to be done

Could be a dirty speed/ABS sensor affecting the signal to the display could be worth a look.

Had the above on my old Omega.

Have you also tried the Pedal test to see if any engine management codes are present.

There is a guide on here i beleive within the How2 guides.

i did wonder about a sensor because when it rains sometimes it works. how do i get to the sensor? is it a tricky job?
